Community out reach

Revamp is an active part of the local communities we reside in. Education, community, and conservation are all important to revamps mission. Revamp is not just a store, it is also a gathering place where people can come to share ideas, advice, or stories. This is furthered by revamps online blog presence which is focused on sharing information about living a healthy, sustainable, satisfying life style.

Education about conservation and sustainable living is very important to Revamp. Revamp works with the local schools to create programs that teach about recycling, conservation, and sustainable living. Revamp gives tours of their store campuses to teach about sustainable businesses. The roof top garden is always a favorite. During the spring workshops are offered on the rooftop about gardening and planting. Workshops are offered throughout the year to educate about sustainable living. Some examples of previous work shops are; Canning and Drying; how to preserve the bounty of summer all winter long, Green up your Clean up: how to make natural cleaners at home, and a Repurposing workshop that happens monthly for people to exchanges ideas on how to repurpose common items.

Revamp also has close ties with many local farmers in the area. Some work with revamp to create educational programs for children and adults that want to know more about sustainable farming. Many sell their products at revamps summer outdoor farmers market, as well as year round in the store itself.
