Armenian Community Center

The Armenian The Armenian Community Center of Fresno is the oldest of its kind on the west coast. Its mission is the enriching the life of Fresno’s Armenian Community and strengthening the bonds between Armenians. It offers a banquet hall and restaurant, Armenian education programs, lectures and performances, dance class, social events, and much more. (2348 Ventura St, 93721)

Fresno State Armenian Studies Department

California State University, Fresno’s Armenian Studies Program is a division of CSUF’s College of Arts and Humanities. The program offers classes in Armenian history, language, literature, and special topics such as William Saroyan and the Armenian Genocide and a minor in Armenian Studies. Charlie Keyan Armenian Community School

The Charlie Keyan Armenian Community School was founded in 1977 with the goal of providing Fresno youth with good quality education on both general primary topics and in Armenian language and culture. The school is pre-Kindergarten through 6th grade and offers all students choral and instrumental music, as well as other classes in the arts. It started from the basement of the Holy Trinity church, then moved to Olive and Fresno Streets, followed by Towered District before moving to its current location. This is the fourth and permanent location of the school. The school was renamed in honor of Fresno native, Charlie Keyan in 2007. (108 N Villa Ave, Clovis, CA 93612)

California Armenian Home for the Aged

California Armenian Home for the Aged was founded in 1952 to provide care for Armenians in Fresno who could no longer care for themselves. The facility offers over a hundred beds for care and a quarter of that in residential living. The California Armenian Home is open to visit by family, friends, and church/community groups. Community-based picnics and festivals are held on their grounds throughout the year. (6720 E Kings Canyon Rd, 93727)
