The Museum’s exhibits are carefully designed to nurture visitors scientific imaginations, build their confidence and competence, and encourage them to test, tinker, create, and wonder! Our exhibit philosophy responds to a persons need to learn through concrete interactions — touching, exploring, manipulating , experimenting and hands-on learning.
Exhibits offer a range of different sciences and topics including:
Dinosaurs, Electricity, Magnets, Music and sound, Live Animals, Botany, Geology, Anatomy, Space and flight, and American Indian basket collection.
Parks
Enjoy our 5 1/2 acres of park for free! The park includes several picnic tables, restrooms, green areas for children to play and much more!
Grassy Meadow
A perfect area for kids to play, experience nature, or have a picnic.
Egyptian Maze
Currently under construction and being designed by The Niner Empire of Fresno.
Roessler Winery
Once used by The Roessler Family as a brandy winery. Our barn is one of the oldest adobe buildings in Fresno; built in 1891.
Miwok Bark House
On the South end of the park we have our Miwok bark houses built by members of the Miwok tribe.
Whisper Dishes
Our huge whisper dishes sit facing each other and amplify sound so each person inside the dish can hear the other even though they are separated from a distance.
Deutsch Cactus Garden
The Cactus Garden was donated by the Deutsch family.
Walden Pond
Our pond has fish, turtles, crayfish, tadpoles, and frogs. Nets can be checked out in the museum for discovery.
Metal T-Rex & Pteranodon
Located on the west side of the park are our Metal T-rex and Pteranodon.
Worm Farm
We are currently maintenancing and preparing a proper habitat for our worms.
Pipe Phones
Our old fashioned pipe phones are fun to send secret messages. Open your child's eyes to the world to science and have fun at the same time!
