History on Wings

There are different stories speculating where buffalo wings originated from. The most well known claim speculates that buffalo wings were created in Buffalo, New York by Teressa Bellissimo who owned a bar with her husband Frank. No one knows when during that time she created them, or the incident in which she made them but we will be forever grateful for this american staple.

What all of us do know is that buffalo wings are amazing and its growth and popularity continue to fill the tummies of friends and enemies.

Variations

Buffalo wings come in two forms - Bone in or boneless.

The classic way is to eat it with the bone in because it adds a different flavor; It's indescribable (but you can be the judge of that). Whereas other people prefer boneless, in this way it is easier to just pop them into your mouth and get lost in flavor town. Either way prepare to get messy because this is a messy but delectabe treat.

There are not only different types of wings but also different flavor variations. You can choose a wet sauce to coat your wings but you also have the option of choosing a dry rub. Or like me, you can have them dry with your sauce on the side!

  • Wet: Anything from bbq to death sauce
  • Dry-rub: Seasonings like lemon pepper or cajun spices

Scoville Scale

The scoville unit is nothing to shake your head at. It is real and it does exist. This is the chart that measures a peppers hotness; It ranks from not hot (0) to extreme hotness (15,000,000-16,000,000).
