Harajuku Nails

❤ Fun Art to Go!

We all know the Harajuku fashion. Every Sunday, young people dressed in a variety of styles including gothic lolita, visual kei, and decora, as well as cosplayers spend the day in Harajuku socializing. The styles they wear are pretty, kawaii(cute) and extreme. The extremer the better, just as their nail art. The nails are longer than long and their nail art contains lots of colors and 3D decorations. Fimo canes, 3D molds, flowers, rhinestones, nail jewelry, stickers. You name it, they have it. If you've ever been to Japan or Tokyo and walked into a drugstore you might have seen the aisles with nail art. While we have to get it online, in Japan they sell almost every thing you can think of in just a drugstore. Source is from Nails by Stephanie.

❤Locations

Just ask! Many places do not know what they are called, they simply call it "nail art". You may need to bring a reference photo and book a appointment in advance. My recommeddation would be iCandy Nails, Heavenly Nails and Spa, and Cali Custom Nail Design.

❤How To

There are some things you need before you start decorateing your nails. Gummy jelly gel, the plastic estetics you want (like beads, gems, ect...) e-shiney top coat(no wipe gel top coat), gel brush, and gel polish (base, top and the color you want.) Apply the gel polish the way you normally would but don't wipe off the stick from the last layer. Then apply a thin layer of the gummy jelly. Imediatly after apply the shiney gel, do not cure. then apply your estetics where you want them. Now you cure it for 90 secs in a led light. And...your done!
