Everything You Need To Know About Binge Watching

Today, you are going to learn a thing or two about the art of binge watching. There are multiple steps to follow if you want your experience to be the best one yet. Alter these steps in any way that you please, but just know that these are the basic steps to becoming a pro of binge watching TV. Eventually you will get into a rhythm of watching many episodes at a time, it will just become part of your daily routine. So sit back, relax, and enjoy these steps as much as you can.

Step 1

You need to completely free your calendar. Completely clear up all your plans. Watching this show is your plan for the rest of the day or week. Doesn’t matter to me. These steps work either way. It is now a date night with your TV. Maybe you want to invite a couple friends over. Just make sure that they take binge watching as seriously as you, because you do not want a lot of interruptions.

Step 2

Find the perfect place to make your cave. It needs to be comfortable enough to where you won’t develop body aches from being in the same position for hours on end. Your bed is usually where you sleep, so this might not be the best spot. You don’t want to re-watch an entire episode that you were half asleep for. Sitting at a table how hours is just ridiculous. A couch is probably your best choice considering you can lay down or sit up without a problem at all. Throw in a heated blanket and possibly a pillow, and you are set.

Step 3

Snack time. You don’t want to get up after you have found the most comfortable spot in the world, like when your alarm goes off in the morning but you are in a heavenly spot. No, you want everything you need within arm’s reach. You might want a mini fridge next to you. But, not everyone has the luxury to do this. So you stock up on snacks. You got to get your favorites: either chips, crackers, candy, fruit, whatever you want. You just need a nice variety. Your preferred drink is also acceptable to have around because you do not want to get dehydrated after many hours of snacking.

Step 4

Choosing the show. You will most likely be watching at least a couple episodes, if not a couple seasons, or even the entire series. You need to pick something interesting enough that it draws you in and not leaving you to play on your phone the entire time. A series with more than four seasons is usually good, especially when there is 16-20 episodes in each season, while each episode is over 40 minutes long. Not to say that short episodes or seasons are bad, you will just go through them faster.

Step 5

Now that you have everything that you need, you are completely ready to go. Once you start, you need to be prepared to go for a long time. This is one of the things you need to be committed to. You are in it to win it. It may seem hard at first, but trust me when I say that you are going to feel accomplished when you finish a whole season in a day or two. From personal experience of binge watching Netflix, I completed 12 seasons of a show in around two and a half months. Looking back, I love that I am able to say that to my friends.

is that you lose three days of your life."
