.....is a font modeled after the classic Baskerville typeface. Baskerville is classified as a transitional typeface because it takes inspiration from both Old Style typefaces of William Caslon and the Modern Style of Firmin Didot and Bodoni. The Baskerville typeface was created from John Baskerville. John Baskerville attempted to improve upon the types of William Calson. This typeface has increased contrast between thick and thin strokes which results in the font appearing sharper. The curved strokes are more circular in shape and the axis is shifted to a more vertical position. All of this comes together in order for the typeface to achieve a much greater consistency in size and form.
