History

Pt Sans Letters Paratype, established in 1989, is a company that handles multi-language typeface such as Latin, Arabic, Hebrew, etc. Paratype is a company with goals in designing high quality type-face for multi-language type usage. Pt serifs, released in 2010, is the second type-face designed in Paratype’s project. It’s main aim was to give the people of Russia the possibility to read and write in their language. Pt serif is an traditional serif type-face consisting of six styles: regular, bold, and italics in standard type and caption style. It was designed to be used with PT Sans, Paratype’s first type-face project, to harmonize with metrics, proportions, weight, and design. PT Sans when released was licenced with Libre License, and can be freely distributed.
